Val and Lisa have ten years' experience of growing speciality mushrooms on our croft land in Tarskavaig, part of the Garden of Skye. From the outset, we have produced our mushrooms on native hardwood logs for best possible flavour and firmness of texture, whilst ensuring minimum environmental impact. Natural cropping of shiitakes occurs from mid-May to November, and of oyster mushrooms in the autumn.
